The next decade of industrial AI will redefine how heavy industry operates, decides, and competes. That’s the work I do.
I’m Senior Director, Data Science and AI at Tenaris, where I lead the execution of data science and AI initiatives across the company. My organization spans 20 people across three countries, organized around four areas: advanced analytics, modeling and optimization, predictive maintenance, and AI for business processes. Together we’ve deployed dozens of data products used daily by hundreds of users in our main plants globally: from production optimization and quality control in our mills, to agentic systems supporting commercial, HR, and finance functions worldwide.
What I care about: making AI work at industrial scale. Not pilots, not demos: production systems with measurable value that change how people work. Our work has been highlighted in Tenaris’ Sustainability Reports (2023, 2024, 2025) and the Annual Report (2024, 2025) for delivering measurable business impact.
I’m also Adjunct Professor at the University of Bergamo, where I teach the graduate-level course Data Analysis for Business Analytics, and I lecture in Master’s and MBA programs.
My background is technical and scientific: Master’s in Computer Engineering from University of Bergamo, PhD in Information Technology from Politecnico di Milano, with research at SAP Labs France and the MIT SENSEable City Lab. I’ve published 19 scientific publications and I hold 5 patents.
